NOTE: Occupational Health Services moving to Miracle Mile Mall as of 9.27.2024
Olmsted Medical Center’s Occupational Health Services department will be moving to a new location within the Miracle Mile Mall located at 132 17 Ave NW, Rochester, MN 55901.
As a result of the move, the Occupational Health department will be closed starting at 12:00 PM on Friday, September 27, 2024, and will reopen at 12:00 PM on Monday, September 30, 2024, in the new location. Please contact the Occupational Health department at 507.292.7144 with any questions.

Drug & Alcohol Tests

Pre-Employment DOT Alcohol Testing
If you're a DOT-regulated employer (except under United States Coast Guard, or USCG, rules) and want to do a pre-employment alcohol test under DOT authority, you may do so if:
- All applicants are tested
- Testing is done as a post-job offer requirement, which means you inform the applicant if he or she has the job if he or she passes a DOT alcohol test
Immunizations
Prevent infections and other health problems when you ask OMC to vaccinate your employees. Depend on our professionals to recommend vaccines that are right for your employees, which may include:
- Hepatitis A vaccine

- Asbestos exams in compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements for employees who are or may come into contact with asbestos
- Blood and body fluid exposure assessments, management, and follow-up exams
- Department of Transportation (DOT) sleep evaluations
- Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) exams
- Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Department of Transportation (DOT) exams for commercial motor vehicle drivers (CMV certificates), which are required for all CMV drivers for interstate commerce in the U.S.

Physical Performance Tests & Programs
Make sure your new hire or current employee is able to safely fill a role on your team, and that you know the physical and functional requirements of each position. OMC offers:
- Physical performance tests to check a person's ability to do the physical demands required by a job
- Functional job analysis to understand the physical and functional requirements for a specific job
- Department of Transportation (DOT) sleep evaluations
- Pre-work screening test from a physical therapist to determine a person's ability to do a specific job based on functional job analysis findings
- Functional capacity assessment to test a person's abilities to do work-related tasks before he or she starts a work hardening program
- Work hardening/work conditioning program, a rehabilitation plan led by an occupational or physical therapist that simulates a workplace so an employee can build skills to return to their work routine
- Early intervention outpatient programs to assess and treat workplace injuries by modifying work, preventing lost work time and costs
- Body mechanics instructions to help workers learn good body mechanics to prevent injuries and other problems
